Allergies & Skin Problems are CAUSED by Leaky Gut

ALLERGIES and SKIN PROBLEMS in DOGS
are CAUSED by
LEAKY GUT

Not insect bites or environmental toxins as is the common belief.

Allergies are the result of Leaky Gut allowing partially digested proteins to leak through the gut wall into the blood stream which causes the immune system to attack them and develop an “allergy” to that particular protein. If Leaky Gut goes on long enough the immune system becomes overworked, exhausted, and hyper-sensitive and over-reacts when triggered by insect bites or environmental toxins that would normally not bother a healthy dog.

Insect bites and environmental toxins do not cause the “allergic reaction”, they simply trigger an over-reactive immune system which is the result of Leaky Gut. Fix Leaky Gut by balancing the Gut Microbiome with proper diet and stop fecal matter, toxins, and partially digested proteins from leaking into the blood stream and the immune system is able to calm down and stop over-reacting.

Skin problems are caused by Leaky Gut because it allows the Candida albicans fungus, that is in all colons, to leak into the bloodstream. Once in the bloodstream the fungus is fed by the grain, potato, and high-glycemic carbohydrates present in most dog foods. The fungus spreads through the body causing numerous skin issues, itching, and yeast infections. Treating an active fungus in the bloodstream topically with shampoos, salves, or antimicrobials is futile. The diet needs to be changed to a high protein, low carbohydrate diet and antibiotics need to be eliminated whenever possible.

Ultimately -  DIET IS THE CAUSE AND DIET IS THE SOLUTION

Insect bites or environmental toxins do not cause an allergic reaction they simply trigger an overworked, hyper-reactive reactive, immune system caused by a leaky gut condition. The immune system would not be overworked and would not overreact to the insect bites and the environmental toxins if the dog did not have Leaky Gut. We know this because when you heal leaky gut the allergies and skin conditions eventually resolve themselves.

Consider that the wolf and the domesticated dog are very similar in physical make up and are the same species. Yet wolves do not have the allergy and skin problems that 60% of domestic dogs have. The wolves should actually have more problems than domestic dogs since they are outside 100% of the time, far more than domestic dogs who are inside most of the time So, if insects and environment toxins were the actual source of the problems, the wolves would be in even worse shape than dogs are, but they do not have allergy and skin problems at all. The main difference between wolves and domesticated dogs is their diet and it is the diet that is ultimately the cause of leaky gut and the allergy and skin problems that results from it.

Leaky gut is caused by an imbalance in the 90 trillion bacteria that make up the gut microbiome that inhabit the intestines and are crucial to operating the entire body. The Microbiome is now being considered by many scientists to function like a second brain. It is connected to nearly every single physical operation of the body, and is the functional interface between the food supply and the overall health of the body.

The imbalance of bacteria in the microbiome is primarily caused by a diet of too many carbohydrates in the form of grain, potato, and other high glycemic carbs (and is made worse by the use of antibiotics which kill the good bacteria along with the bad bacteria). These carbs feed the harmful bacteria in the microbiome which  overgrow and overwhelm the beneficial bacteria. The harmful bacteria eats away the mucus layer that protects the inside of the gut wall and this leads to a condition where fecal matter, toxins, and partially digested proteins leak through the gut wall into the bloodstream. This is a condition called leaky gut and is the root cause of allergies and skin problems.

The body is designed to break down proteins which are long strings of amino acids into individual amino acids. The problem arises when leaky gut allows partially digested proteins, which are random lengths of amino acids that have not been completely broken down yet, to leak through the wall and get into the bloodstream. The immune system perceives these partially digested proteins to be invading pathogens, records them, and attacks them if it sees them again which, if Leaky Gut persists, it certainly will.

When the immune system attacks these partially digested proteins, it is perceived as an allergic reaction when in fact, it is simply a healthy immune response to matter getting into the bloodstream that should not be there. When the digestive system operates correctly, the proteins that the dog eats are broken down completely into individual amino acids, which the immune system accepts and which are used to repair and rebuild.

When the immune system is constantly flooded on a daily basis with fecal matter, toxins, and partially digested proteins, it becomes depleted, worn out, and hypersensitive, which causes an over-reaction to something it normally would not react to, like an insect bite or an environmental toxin. So the real cause of the allergic reaction is set up by improper diet, which causes leaky gut. An insect bite simply triggers an over-reactive immune system, which is the result of Leaky Gut.

While leaky got is the primary cause of allergies, most of the skin problems are a result of the Candida Albicans fungus leaking into the bloodstream where it spreads throughout the body. Once again, a poor diet of grain, potato and excess carbohydrates feed the fungus which thrives on them and eventually causes extensive skin problems, itching, yeast infections, hair loss, dull hair, and numerous other problems. It is futile to treat a Systemic Candida fungus from the outside with topical ointments, etc., because if leaky gut persists the candida fungus will continue to leak into the bloodstream. The solution is to change the diet to prevent leaky gut. Nothing else will work long-term.

The real problem is Leaky Gut, caused by an improper diet, which leads to an over worked, depleted, over-reactive immune system. The good news is that when leaky got is corrected through proper diet, the problems of allergic reactions and skin conditions tend to resolve themselves over time. When the toxins, fecal matter and partially digested proteins stop leaking into the bloodstream the system returns to its normal healthy function.

SEQUENCE OF EVENTS
THAT CAUSE ALLERGIES
AND SKIN PROBLEMS

THE GUT MICROBIOME is a massive colony numbering 90 trillion which are mostly bacteria, both good and bad. It is connected to nearly every function of the body, helps convert food to usable energy, and is r considered by some scientists to function like a second brain. It is the interface between the outside world and the inside of the body.

The health and balance of the 90 trillion bacteria in the microbiome have a direct impact on the health of the entire organism.

Diets with too much grain, potato, & high-glycemic carbohydrates feed the harmful bacteria in the Gut Microbiome, which overgrows and causes an imbalance, called Dysbiosis, where the bad bacteria overpowers the good bacteria.

Antibiotics kill good bacteria along with bad bacteria, and contribute to a state of Dysbiosis in the Gut Microbiota.

When the harmful Bacteria proliferates it overpowers the good bacteria and eats away the protective mucosal coating on the inside of the small intestine. The wall of the small intestine, that separates the fecal matter from the blood stream, is only one cell thick and is made up of cells, called enterocytes, that fit together like little bricks. Eventually gaps develop between the enterocytes, that allow fecal matter from inside the intestine to leak through the wall into the blood stream, which is a condition appropriately called “Leaky Gut.”

Leaky Gut is the root CAUSE of the majority of allergy symptoms and skin problems that over 60% of dogs are afflicted with.
